Alright, so the "wastes of time" thing got out of hand, and Mike Cash took it down the wrong path first. I'll give you that. I don't see anything punishable from that thread, though.
Now we come to this, where you point out that he misspelled "renown." First, I don't see how this was anything but insulting, as it had absolutely nothing to do with the topic and there was no need for you to go out of your way to point that out. I just fail to see the purpose in pointing it out other than to say "ha! You screwed up!" Therefore, I don't find Mike Cash's response out of line. He didn't use any obsenity or vulgarity; I don't think euphamisms count as such.
I don't think there's anything punishable here either. I'm not finding you at fault, per se, but I think that the two of you have mutually helped the situation degrade to the point it is now, although I believe Mike Cash bears more responsibility than you. The reason is that while your original point could be taken as pedantic and insulting, Mike Cash was the first to actually throw out an insult.
That's how I see things after having reread the comments in question, and I feel that it may be best for the two of you to ignore each other for a little while. Does that sound terribly unreasonable?
