Cannot access the website

Hey guys! I'm not sure what is going on. I initially thought JREF was down, but it's come to my attention that all has been well with it. Second thought was that I was IP banned for some reason, and my account is not banned, so does anyone have any ideas why I can't access this website on my IP? Seems to work just fine for everyone else.

We have a few new modifications in place that prevent link spam and bots from accessing the site. Occasionally, they may prevent legitimate users, too. Please try to access the forum once again.

Update: we have flushed our IP tables, so the issue appears to be resolved. It seems that due to ovrrly strict rules a lot of legitimate IP addresses had been blocked.

After years of not visiting the forum, I thought the same: that the forum was down and not active anymore, until I found out that it still was alive.
I also have problems logging in. It says "cannot access the website" and I have to refresh so many times...Just the update of my profile took me ages....:-(

I'm sorry to hear about your login problems and appreciate your feedback. We changed our IP address two weeks ago, so perhaps flushing your browser cache might help.

Thanks! However, something is definately wrong. when I log in, "Cannot access the website". I have to press "enter" and retry, retry, retry.
I have deleted my browser history. I do not experience this with any other websites....:-(
Just by logging in here and writing this was a hassle - it took me several retries....:-(

Thanks. I appreciate your investigation. It is very strange indeed. It happens too occasionally for my patience.
E.g. I have to refresh 4-5 times before successfully enter a new page. The "smilie-list" I cannot open.
Any ideas/solutions welcome!

Hi Uncle Frank!

I hope this will be solved soon. I have to press "enter"/refresh 4-5 times (the fifth time it is with more pressure!) to open a new page, and I get the message "cannot access website"....I have been unsuccessful in logging in several times since the browser is just thinking trying to connect "finding http://....." I have also tried with Modzilla firefox...without luck. :-(

when you log in , you do check the "REMEMBER ME" box?? Just a shot in the dark.
