A shake-U-awake earthquake hit Quebec, Canada last night at 1:17AM EST. Any of our members feel it? Should we start printing up T-shirts " I Survived the Earthquake of 2005" now? Did any of our Canadian members even notice it? Should we contact Bush about sending aid to the poor survivors? Maybe a relief fund to replace any cracked cups or walls. Let's hear those stories about your night of horror you Canadian members!

Guess There Were No Survivors??

No one checked in yet from Canada anyway?

What the hell.. Quebec, huh? That's not cool.. I thought Canada was safe.. Now I have to be worried.. Oh well.. Until one hits Toronto I won't worry.. I didn't feel anything last night.. I suppose because I'm pretty far from Quebec.. Still.. I didn't even think we could get earthquakes..

There have been a lot of minor earthquakes in Washington State recently and Mt. St. Helens (volcano) has been active over the last few months. And possibly thanks to global warming it's been a very warm winter. Add in a huge tsunami and I think the world is fixin' to come to an end. 😲

I don't know if the scale used in Canada is the same as in Japan, but 5.4 in Japan is not even strong enough to topple a book from a shelve. We have several eartquake of this magnitude in Tokyo in a year.

Yeah. Japan does. That's quite well known. Residents of Japan probably hardly notice them. But this is pretty unheard of in Canada. Which is why that's not cool. Is it a sign of bigger things to come? Eh. I hope not.

Most of Canad sits on a geologically stable area. It is one one the oldest rock in the world. Washington states sits on a geologically active area. You want to worry, what about the supervolcano under Yellowstone National park? When that blows we'll all be back in the stone age.

The worlds going to hell, we're all gonna die  Its gonna happen sometime. Lets just have fun while it lasts 😄 But i seriously think the worlds coming to an end.

What a positive outlook you have on the world.
Just imagine, Canadians getting excited about something. Maybe it's about time I emailed my cousin again. See if she felt or heard anything.

Not to sound flippant, but I'd imagine Canadians are more anguished over the cancellation of the 2004-05 hockey season than they are an earthquake!
:D

Golly gee whillickers! Didn't think a hockey fan would actually check in! HA!
:D

in recent years, scientists have warned us that there could be a 9 magnitude earthquake in the near future, due to the movements of the plates near Vancouver Island, the result could be catastrophic...

Catastrophic to who? Vancouver or the whole world? ... :? Am i the only one whos excited by this end of the world thing?
