春機が発動して、ソレをナニしたい盛りのは理解するけ ど、・・・まあ、そこにお座りなさい。

I got it off some website, not sure what it says though.

Can you translate this too?

なに?

:p

Uh... not sure that's appropriate for this site... 😌

Do you have any idea what it says? And what kinds of sites are you reading?

I got the 1st thing from a japanese to english dictionary

Sorry... But, I wanted to make sure it was correct.

But this is what I really wanted to translate.

なに

My guess is that it's like "something" in this usage: "want to do something with that..."

So, I just found the source of that sentence, and I'm a bit surprised. I wonder where he got that sentence from originally...

Well, I'm trying to figure out these Death Note

So, can you translate any of this?

Indeed. I also found another example sentense in 何 section on WWWJDIC.
(2) 「や、それほどでも。せいぜい、大きさ比べたり、わい談するくらいだし」「大きさって何の?」「ナニの」
😌😌😌
And Jim did a typo in the sentense the OP quoted. したい盛りのは理解するけど should be したい盛りのは理解するけど.;-)

何の英訳

なに(何) in that dialogue means "What?!"

thanks for helping me translate japanese

Ok... so, なに(何) means What?! Interesting.

Does that mean なに can mean what too?

If you want to help me translate these Japanese subtitles, watch the 1st episode of Death Note in Japanese.

However maybe, I'll give you the japanese, and the english, and you could confirm to me, whether or not it's right or not.

Dialogue: 0,0:02:07.84,0:02:09.65,Default,,0000,0000,0000,,{\fs14}ねんね \N{\fs24}横髑髏二つ?

This might mean: A pair of sleeping skulls!! (The japanese up above)

What do you guy's think the japanese dialogue 02:07 means?

なに = 何. They are the same meaning/pronunciation in the usage you quoted.
I think you'd better to understand the Japanese writing system before starting to translate...

Is there anything you would recommend for me...

Understanding the Japanese Writing System, that is also possibly free?

learn to read Japanese from Anime, if that makes any sense.

Now ねんね

横髑髏二つ?

I think that in Japanese is supposed to translate to: 2 sleeping skulls.

Not sure though, that's my best guess.

You are not going to learn to read Japanese from Anime. It's really not possible. If you want to learn to read manga get a good textbook and learn Japanese from there; then once you've studied for a good while you can take a crack at the manga.

The phrase you posted for example is I believe from the first page of Death Note and it is not anything anyone would really ever say in real life, it's made-up slang describing some kind of dice game the death-gods are playing with bones.
