Can you legally work while under the Monbusho?

Quick question guys,
Although I havent been accepted yet, I have a strong feeling that I will be accepted for the Monbusho Scholarship. My question to you guys is if its possible to seek employment while under Monbusho. I live a pretty wild life and since more than half of my stipend from The MEXT will go towards my rent and food. I was wondering if it was possible to work part time while pursuing my studies? If so, what sort of opportunities would be best to facilitate this.

People with student visas can work part-time. You need to get special permission from immigration, though. Not that hard to get, and I think you have to get hired first, then permission later.

Many schools prohibit work for the first few months of studies, though.

What kind of work you can do will depend largely on your language ability.
