We usually consider "help me translate" to mean "help me translate" and not "translate this for me while I do nothing".

But I'll help a bit: This seems to have originally been in kana and the "tsu" in "matsute" was a small one, so this should be "matte" (まって not まつて).

What parts do you already understand and what parts do you need help with?
