Can I work two jobs or is that frowned upon?

Hi.

What is the law as well as general opinion of your main school if you are working an extra day somewhere else, if it is not stated that you cannot do that in the contract? Also, how do you think potential employers will feel if they see that I have been working two jobs at the same time? I know that at many places it is totally forbidden, but it is true that legally even if it is written in your contract, it is still not legally binding, only a school rule?

In bit of dilemma on this as my full time job contract ended before my part-time one, and I feel it is better to show that I have been employed for the last two months even if it has only been part time. However, in doing so, I will also have to provide details of this showing that I was working a PT job alongside my regular one for six months.

Your opinions and suggestions are very welcome.

If the second job also falls within the guidelines of your visa, you should be fine.

And if you're not breaking any of your employment contracts, you should be fine.

Thanks for that mate, makes things more clear. So your saying that legally it is perfectly fine, just depends on what the contract says. Ok.

Well, first remember that your employment contract is an agreement between you and your employers. Nobody else. You're not going to get deported for making your employers angry. Your "agreement" with the government is your work visa. So if you do anything out of the range of your visa, that will (theoretically) cause problems with the government.
