firstly id like to say hello to everybody and to excuse my ignorance as im not japanese and bound to make a few mistales which may offend someone, so my apologies in advance

ok what i want to ask is if someone can translate this word for me? its from the last samurai 2003, and its when the japanese regiment first clash arms with the samurai in that misty forest.

the samurai shout out a word, i think its "humyour" they shout out. could somebody translate this to english for me please?

I think it was "yamei" or STOP IT, if it was the phrase when the samurais tried to kill Tom Cruise.
But I need a double check after I rent the DVD again.

To me it sounds like 'Onmyou', which is the Japanese pronunciation of 'Yin & Yang' in Chinese (in English as well).

You need to either find somebody who has the DVD and can listen to it or provide us with the ACTUAL Japanese dialog. Search around online for movie scripts. We can't guess.

I think it is a yelling voice, otakebi, which nobody except the actors could transcript it.
