Hi, I'm new to this forum. I bought a few Japanese Calligraphy books and was hoping that someone could translate these two pages for me. I was told they were "JAPANESE PRINT BOOKS POETRY HAIKU JAPANESE POEMS HAND WRITTEN SET 2 MEIJI/TAISHO" and are dated 1900-1940.
The writing is so beautiful and would like to incorporate them into my illustrations.
The two pages attached are the inside covers, and could give me an idea of what the book is about (subject matter and age perhaps.)
Thanks for any information,
Karin

The date written on the upper book is 昭和戊辰桜花月 [Shōwa boshin ōkaduki], i.e. April 1928.
The lower one was gifted to a person named 大仏[Osaragi].

Thank you for the information

Can you tell if these are one-of-a-kind books or do you think many have been printed?

I don't know. There is no such information there. The lower one is a dedication.
