Brave or Chrome

Anybody here use Brave rather than Chrome?
I'm a Chrome user of many years, but getting a lot of ads lately - to the point where its slowing down performance. Is Brave worth making the switch?

Firefox user here. I installed Brave this week but wasn't impressed.

Are you using an ad blocker on Chrome? Please whitelist JREF.

No ad blocker used. I don't mind the ads. JREF never fails to load properly, and the ads don't seem to slow JREF down. Actually the only reason I noticed Brave was that an ad for it was pushed to me by Twitter (lol). But since seeing that ad I'm starting to notice how certain sites, particularly news sites or news aggregators are just unusable due to the volume of clumsy, screen-hogging ads that expand and collapse at will. Then, I was searching for a car yesterday, and the first 5 results on Google were ads for cars other than the one I was searching for.
I think I'll stick with Chrome for now.

We try to be kind by displaying ads only to guests, not even nasty ones like pop-ups and vignette ads. However, Google Adsense ceased to be moderately lucrative years ago. It does not even cover our hosting fees anymore. Google is still the best search engine for "non-commercial" queries. Once you get in the realm of big bucks, you have to sift through tons of paid ads. Many swear by DuckDuckGo.

I use firefox on android as well as I like to use a number of addons, for me personally it works well. I have nothing against other browsers from Brave to Vivaldi they just don't work as well for me personally.

And here in caveman Uncle Frank's house we are still using Internet Explorer because old people hate

change and you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Honestly, I can't believe I was taken in by that advertisement for "Brave". I still see it pop on from time to time on Elon Musk's Twitter™.
