best and easiest meeting point at the main airport in tokyo

I am travelling air france (the tickets say to terminal 1) and my companian is coming from Germany on Lufthansa he thinks also to terminal one. Neither of us has been here before I have looked at the airport website and see there are 2 meeitng points for termianl one are they easy to identify and how can I tell which is which as our flights are within one hour of each other and reather than meeting at the hotel (we are a bit worried as to getting there for the first time) we want to meet at the airport

We just usually meet up at the area in the arrival lobby just outside the customs gate and near the currency exchange office.
