Beginning of School

Hey guys. With the start of my Freshman year in highschool I've been pretty busy, and unable to write e-mails lately. I'd like to explain this to my penpals, but I'm pretty much in the dark with some of this grammer. I'll take my best shot at it though.

I want to say something along the lines of, but not necessarily exactly:
Sorry my reply is late. The start of my school has kept me pretty busy.

すみません私の返事は遅いでした。私の学校の創は私を忙しい宿します。


I know its probably mostly wrong, but I took my best shot.

You could say something like this.

返事が遅れてしまってごめんなさい。学校が始まって色々忙しかったのです。
(Henji ga okurete simatte gomennasai.
Gakkou ga hajimatte iroiro isogashikattano desu.)
Sorry my reply is late. I've been pretty busy because my school has started.

You could say something like this.

返事が遅れてしまってごめんなさい。学校が始まって色々忙しかったのです。
(Henji ga okurete simatte gomennasai.
Gakkou ga hajimatte iroiro isogashikattano desu.)
Sorry my reply is late. I've been pretty busy because my school has started.

Although much more commonly plain old "Henji ga osoku natte gomennasai" which doesn't imply your response is late by a preset deadline.
Other phrases for 'pretty busy', zutto or kanari isogashikattan desu.
学校の創 sounds more like the school being built or for when it was initially designed. Not sure how 宿します was intended in this case.
