BG is a bit of a strange series (never saw the film if there was one...). I don't really like it, or the use of the word 'sir' to the female president person. 'Sir' should be kept for men, and 'Ma'am' for women (not being sexist, but it feels the same as pointing at a woman who has always been a woman and saying 'man'.)

Bit of a boring series, but oh well.

I am a fan of BSG and have been since it's beginnings (the more recent one that is. I never watched the original). It is real cerebral and one must really pay attention to what is actually going on as they touch on many of the problems facing humans today such as AI, the death penalty, racial differences, etc. Often you have to watch an episode twice to actually understand what is going on or what is being said or related. However, IMO, it is really a good program for those that like to think. I can't wait for the new season to begin on April 4th!

Yeah, I grew up watching the original series. Good stuff back in the day. They only recently started airing episodes here in Japan on TV so I am watching season 1 atm for the first time and am only a few episodes in. The most recent one this week was the one with Richard Hatch as a terrorist prisoner lol, nice touch.

I have Season 1 and Season 2 on DVD, still waiting for Season 3 to pop out in the local shops here
