Well, so long Baker Tony, it's been quite a ride in your pizza delivery fleet (of bullet-proof Jags!!)
It's also been quite a fascinating last few weeks - from the unprecedented coolness of the Pope towards Tony at their meeting, to the revelations from Peter Mandelson (Blair's former right-hand man) that the Head Baker had no plans whatsoever in place for a post-war Iraq, and said something to the effect that 'we'll let the Americans worry about that'. Quelle surprise!
Highlight of the day for me: when asked in the Commons what advice Mr Blair would give his successor about the relationship between church and state (one vein of speculation suggests that Tony will convert to Catholicism and become a priest), Blair replied: "I think I'm really not bothered about that one."
