I've been an Apple user since 1994 and that news came as quite a surprise to me. I'm happy with my present machine (1GhZ eMac, 1MB memory, 60GB HD, Combo Drive) and probably won't upgrade for quite some time, if at all, but it will be interesting to see what Intel powered Macs can do, and how much they'll cost!

I wonder why they didn't go with AMD instead. I bet MacOS running on an Athlon 64 would be pretty freakin' fast.
