Hi, i'm kinda new to this forum, hehehe! 🙂 hello! anywho, i'm currently an undergrad student and am planning on studying in japan for a year. I want to either study at Sophia univ or ICU, but i'm not sure which one. I'm in a little dillemma b/c i heard that ICU was in the suburbs (i grew up in a boring suburb bubble city ... sooo, i want to go studying at lively crazy city), but it has the classes that fulfill school requirements, and Sophia univ is in the heart of tokyo, which is where i really want to go, and it's close to places i want to visit, but doesn't really have any classes that I need. So, should i go to ICU, where i can fulfill school requirements, or go to Sophia to have a crazy city experience? Has anyone studied there before? If so, could you give me some advice and share some of your experience there? I dunno.. what would you guys do?

It sure does look that way on a map, doesn't it?

Certainly ICU has a large campus and requires a bus ride to the nearest railway station. But, I don't think ICU is so inconvenient once you learn your way around Tokyo. It is close to Kichijoji, which is a center of youth culture and a major commercial district. Shinjuku is just a stone's throw away (so to speak...😌 )

Sophia is at the heart of Tokyo, but you still need to ride the train/subway to get to the major commercial & entertainment districts in Tokyo.

So, I don't think proximity/access is a major issue for these two universities. If you don't have any classes you need at Sophia, go for ICU!! 👍
