Anyone applying to Global 30 universities (and chance me)?

For undergraduate or graduate (I will be applying for undergraduate). What schools? What major? How long have you deliberated over your decision? Do you believe you a strong prospect? Where are you from? Any information that anyone feels like disseminating is welcome.
Would anyone like to chance me for university? I know this is not the same as admissions in the US, but I would appreciate anyone's input.
GPA: 3.8 unweighted, weighted would be >4.0 ---my gpa is not as high as it could be because of my difficult course load
SAT: 2300 math:780 cr:750 writing: 770 (12 essay)--- actually my highest single score is 2290 but Nagoya asks for all scores---they don't ask for subject tests
ECs: I heard from a professor teaching at Tsukuba that ECs don't hold much importance; I will still add ECs to my app however
Work/Research: performed research at Drexel Plasma Institute

.
I am definetely forgetting a lot of items; however, I hear gpa and SAT are the most important.

I applied for and got accepted to a graduate Physics program at Tohoku University that begins this Fall. It's called IGPAS on the G30 website. I studied abroad there about a year ago, so I had been considering it ever since. I was strong enough to get accepted, obviously, but not enough to be awarded the MEXT scholarship.

What about you?

I will be applying to Nagoya for biological sciences this fall. I was also considering Tohoku's IMAC program, but I decided against it because of the late application dates. I actually think that Nagoya is the only one with early admissions, which is fortunate because Nagoya was my first pick.

You should have no problem. I'd say you are well qualified for even the ivy leagues in the US. But, I'm not on any admissions committees so one can never truly know. In all honesty, though, you shouldn't worry yourself over your "chances" and just apply. You'll miss all the shots you never take!
