I'm currently managing a website for the Japanese Gallery (you can see it on www.japanesegallery.co.uk) but decided to set up a new website of my own that sells similar stuff (japanese art) as well as being an information point for English people to learn about japanese culture and history. Just wanting some ideas of some names I could use - memorable to both English and Japanese people. Any ideas?

you see it's quite difficult to get a good name ...
or do people collect good domain-names to sell them to you?
nipponculture
nipponbunka
artofjapan (sounds like outofjapan) ... I don't know
check some art catalogues and pick your favourite stuff - that's the name
3-2-1-mine ;)

japangiftshop.co.uk
jpartgal.co.uk*
jpscroll.co.uk*
kakemono.co.uk
jpartlondon.co.uk

i assume, visitor prefers these marked with asterik.
however, i do not give visitor guarantee with these name.

jpartlondon.co.uk may sound too difficult to remember- or probably good, because contains your location.

I wonder if you decide the name already.
How about ...

kokoroart.co.uk

Kokoro means "heart" "spirit" "goodwill" and so on...
It can be used as a "gift" in a sentens too. Does "Kokoro" sounds Japanese to non-Japanese?

I like nekomusume's suggestion,

How about something like, Land of the rising sun art. or maybe reverse the wording to Art of the rising sun. or something like that. Im not real good at naming things.
