Any "japanese studies" applicant? (MEXT)

The group's called Japanese Studies Students MEXT 2014, I already made it open. So, just search it on fb anytime soon

Charlie07brown: It must be nice to know that you are still in the running!! If they want to make sure that you application is correct, that means that chances are high that you'll be accepted!!
According to our embassy we will get the result before/around august...just a little bit more waiting

This is my first time posting on these forums! I wanted to see if there was any place where people where talking about the MEXT Japanese Studies Students scholarship - and after a few google searches - I found that this place seems to be it!
Have you gotten any updates from your embassy yet?

It feels like I just created an account to say this...which I guess is true, haha...
But I got a call from my embassy last Tuesday saying I got accepted for the scholarship!!! I'm soooo happy!! :')
I don't know what university I will attend yet, my contact person at the embassy said that it will probably take a few weeks.

I tried to find the facebook group that was mentioned in this thread, but I couldn't find it :/
I hope you all will get it!

Hello everyone!

After months of waiting, I found out that I received the scholarship last week. However, only a couple days ago I heard that I had not been accepted into any of my three choices, but a totally unexpected one. I'm just curious if any of you have heard of this happening? It makes me feel a bit (ok, REALLY) disheartened, but I'm still excited and grateful for the opportunity nonetheless.

Hope you all are finding out your results!

One way is to send a fb add to Carlos as he said before or in any case send it to me Luis Hegarc and after I add you to the group.
And be in no one of your three choices is commom dont worry about it, I and a lot of people are in the same sitution.

Hey, I have applied this year for the Japanese studies scholarship and have passed the first screening. Even I had applied for the undergraduate one and had not made it past the second screening . Did all the people who clear the first screening in your country for the Japanese studies scholarship make it past the second one?
