Hi All ! My name is Sandra , I am a cartoonist/ animator from Jordan .. I wish I found this forum earlier .. I am applying for the MEXT scholarship , my interview is after a week , so help is urgently needed ...
Thing is I need to get a Master's degree in the field of animation in Japan , my problem is finding the right university . I did my research but haven't found much info provided , none of the universities state out loud that they offer any degrees in the field of animation . And even when I specifically emailed them asking whether or not they do , none of them was direct enough to confirm and simply linked me to their home page (which was in return not clear enough) .
So far, I found out that animation courses are given at :
Digital Hollywood

Tamabi Art University

and Tokyo Polytechnic University

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows more details about this matter, that is; if anyone knows for sure if those universities I mentioned or any other ones offer a master's degree in the field of animation , I'd really appreciate it ! Many Thanks to you all ! :(

hello ... ? anyone ...

I was selected for the scolarship but I still need to know about the universities to go on with my application ... If I don't get accepted I don't think they'll give it to me ... please help ....
:(

:(

I'm sorry ^^;;

I dont really know enough about the art universities to really give you a good response ><;;

I know nothing about the field, but I'll show you what I found through Google:

Tokyo University of the Arts (Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku) has created a graduate program on animation:
http://www.geidai.ac.jp/english/film/index.html

Other universities that openly show on their websites that they have graduate courses in the field:

Tokyo University of Technology (Tokyo Ko-ka Daigaku):
アニメーション | メディア学部 | 東京工科大学

Osaka Electro-Communication University (Osaka Denki-Tsushin Daigaku):
http://www.nawate.jp/master/q/index.html

All three above are national/public universities.

A private university with such a course is Waseda:

Regarding the three that the OP mentioned:
Digital Hollywood is a new university that grew out of a vocational school, so I don't think it has expanded enough to offer graduate programs. But, it should be interesting because it's still new and also high-tech.
Tamabi & Tokyo Polytechnic are established art universities and are alma maters for many famous artists.

Link to list of universities/colleges offering animation programs (not necessarily graduate courses):

Hope it helps!
