Travel ANA launches first of three Pokémon-themed jets

ANA unveiled a new Pokémon-themed aircraft at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on 28 July to mark the 30th anniversary of the original Pokémon games.

The Boeing 787-8, named Pokémon Jet Red, features Pikachu alongside all 10 Fire-type starter Pokémon painted across the fuselage. It was due to enter regular service on 29 July with a flight from Haneda to Fukuoka. ANA said Pokémon characters will also appear on seat covers and paper cups used on board. The airline plans to introduce two more special liveries in the future: Jet Green, featuring Grass-type starters, and Jet Blue, featuring Water-type starters.
