I am off work tomorrow and am gonna check this movie out.
I will let you all know whether it's any good or not!
I'm actually looking forward to it as it is not a remake but a completely different film. It's actually directed by Hideo Nakata which also excites me. I know all you guys stateside have probably already seen it so this doesn't mean a lot...please don't tell me what happens!

Is anyone else going to watch it on it's day of release?

Went to see it today. Not particularly scary, but the storyline was alright. Had a bit of a 'Dark Water' vibe to it, especially towards the end. Felt there was a bit to much exposition in it. I would give it about three stars out of five.

Totally original screen play, according to various sources. Don't expect a remake of Ringu 2. So the answer to your question is yes. It is only rated 15 as well.

the remake couldnt compare to ringu 2....too much c.g i persoanlly hated the first remake and wont be watching number 2....

The first one was ok, but I'd never call it a fave... Nah, I wouldn't pay the money. If someone else paid though... I'd go

the movies just arent scary.....its like the grudge remake :; laughs :; that was too much cgi glad they got the same chick from the original in it though.....

well...it's taken me so long to actually post my opinion because it's taken me this long to figure out whether i liked it or not!
it raised absolutely no emotion one way or tother...i jumped once but not through fear, more "Boo" kinda jump!
basically, i've decided it sucked...too floppy and i don't think even the story was worth it!
i probably wouldn't watch it again, and i certainly wouldn't buy it!

anyway, my mum liked it!
