I think you can teach most songs yourself but when it comes to techniques a teacher is definitely better. I'm so thankful that I have a teacher (although I don't practice that much^^...it's harder to practice that kind of exercices given by a teacher than practice a song) he's really cool and nice!!!!^^

You know, You're right, Practicing with a teacher is much easier, and you can ask them things, when i want to learn a song, he always want to learn it xD He's funny xD it's a shame that the season is over, i have to wait like 5 months before i have a lesson again T^T -sob-

About the diary translations: Although it was Michelliej's mistake that she was not able to credit secret alice, she did not mean it and I would want it if she stiil will continue to post the translated entries from the band's blogs... with the credit this time... ^_^

I'm sorry, but I don't think you understand how much these translations mean to Miyabi and the owner of the Akatsuki site. I respect both of these girls greatly and I follow Miyabi's translations on Looking Glass and regularly visit Akatsuki for all my lyric translation needs. There is a lot of dedication and devotion that goes on with the translations. You do understand that they are doing this for fans, for people like you and me so that we can grasp the meanings of songs and read the journal's of our beloved alice nine. Piracy and plagiarism in any form is a serious act and is considered theft, especially on the internet. This is where majority of piracy takes place. Taking translations of songs and journals are also piracy, as it is the work of an individual.

These girls take time out of their own daily lives to provide translations. How difficult is it to leave a link at the end of that post? Surely, if you can copy a whole entry, you can also copy the URL and stick it on the end. Not so hard now, is it?

I'd like to give you and example on how serious this act is, even if it is what you all say as "only translations". Taking translations without credit is the same as taking a sonnet from Shakespeare and not saying it was written by him. It is apparent in both ways that the person did not write the piece, however, knowledge is lost on who did write it. Those who would wish to see more poetry of the same author would not know where to look, and that is the same with translations. If someone wanted to backtrack and look at other lyrics, they are not able to if credit is not given.

We all share a love for the same band, so why can't we show each other some love and respect? That love and respect of course also including credits to translators. Imagine how you would feel if something you put your effort into was simply just taken without a word or a thank you. Its not a pleasant feeling at all...

So, if possible, please give both the girls a proper apology so they can put their hearts at ease as alice nine. as a band means a lot to all of us. Don't you think it would sadden them to even think about fans disputing over them? ;)

I agree, it's not hard to credit to someone...
But i know michelliej very good... and she doesnt know that much about crediting and stuff, she just doesn't.

And i have all the respect for Akatsuki and Miyabi for transalations and lyrics.
Thats all i have to say, i hope we dont ever have to deal with this again.
So the translators are happy, and we are 2 🙂
 
I'm not the one who deserves the apology - it should be directed at Miyabi and Akatsuki's translator. ;)

Coming from their point of view, I think they would appreciate a direct apology from michellej either through email, a note in their guestbook or something similiar. Although she did not mean to upset them, it has and their work means a lot of them. I have seen a few posts with people apologizing on their behalf, but they really need to hear it from her to settle the situation.

I'm glad you understand, as that way, you are able to see where these girls are coming from.

So, once both translators recieve a heartfelt and honest apology, this drama will blow over.

P.S. I look forward to sharing views on alice nine. with you all in future. ;]

As RukaNightmare said, most of the time, people don't like others reposting scans which is why entries are friends-locked in LiveJournal. But, I do reccomend that you sign up to LiveJournal as they have a great amount of communities dedicated to scans, graphics, media and translations. Its a great source of information. :]

Regarding the Translations issue:

I go to Akatsuki and secret alice too because that's where I read the translations. I think some people in the thread go there too... I joined the mailing list for akatsuki and theres was an update in there site on June 30... As you hae guessed, it talked about plagiarism and specified the supposedly violator (a.k.a. the bad apple... as said there) and the site... Yes, our humble thread has been linked. In secret alice, Miyabi wrote an informal letter to Michelliej about the issue... And it was pretty nasty... And there was an earlier entry when she linked a post from Michelliej...

From the information above, I think it is safe to assume that rokuban and hayato_kumazawa registered in the forums just to leave a message. And since the link to our thread was posted in two sites, Akatsuki and secret alice, we should be expecting a few more people registering and saying how they are disgusted and stuff...

I did not type this here to entertain or to make fun of the whole issue... I'm serious about this. I am not taking sides either, nor saying if Miyabi and Jiayan made the right choice to reveal the supposedly violator and the thread. I typed this to hopefully shed some light on everyone, if not, whoever is curious but hasn't researched about this yet. I really want to everyone to be friends and make this whole thing an issue of the past... But this won't happen unless both parties talk about it... I hope the best for this issue... ^_^

This forum is turning into a nightmare -___- This whole plagiarism issue is affecting the flow of the entire forum and it is really not fair on it's members. Why are people joining just to have another shot!? This is a thread for alice nine. fans to discuss the greatness of the band! Not a place to flame people. (I am not taking sides, please don't flame me, I have a neutral opinion on both parts. I am merely concerned about this forum and the members unnecessarily subjected to this issue.)

I totally understand what Miyabi and Jaiyan feel about this, I am an artist at deviantART and art theft is something that drives me crazy. So I guess its the same feeling with translations. I regularly visit secret alice to read the blog translations, they clearly take a lot of work, translations from other sites are a lot more broken. So well done on that part Miyabi, please keep your translations going, they are the best around. I wish I could apologise on behalf of Michelliej, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be enough -_-

@Michelliej where have you gone? Please come back, we need you so we can stop all this D:
