Ok here is a little Puzzle for you. Just click on the link below and it will take you off to the farm.

http://shygypsy.com/farm

The way it works is quite simple, you need to keep typing in words that are related to the "theme" of each page. Around the edge of the first page are words that open up other pages next to the starting square.

The screen does load slowly so give it time.......

It does allow you to save your progress in the game, but in order to save it you must NOT delete the relevant cookie, if you do you have to start again from the middle square.

There are 25 squares in total for you to open, one is all about Japan.

Have fun folks and enjoy. :)

it is very addictive :p unfortunately i don't know English so good... and don't have a clue what is on farm (especially not in English)... well I managed to find seven words in first level (including egg😊)

🙂

In order to help you, think of various animals that a 'Farmer' has on a farm, and dont forget most farmers drive a tractor.......

lol, thanks, that does help. I focused only on animals.
thing is, I know all those words in my language, of course, but know only basic in English.
I just took translator (I never use this on-line) 😊
at least, I will learn some new words 😊

oh, did I mentioned that I am total puzzle freak? when I saw title of this thread, I knew I shouldn't have open it, but couldn't resist.

gotta go and play 🙂

Ok have fun, did play this puzzle a year ago, so far Ive opened 9 squares including the starting one.

Nice puzzle E_H, cheers! :)

This sort of thing does work very well for language learners if the vocab/topic is targeted to their needs and (preferably, just slightly above) their language level.

As a native English speaker:

1) I guess this puzzle uses US English? - I didn't know plough could be spelt 'plow'! (Though thankfully the puzzle translated my guess from the British - very clever and well thought out there :))

2) This one appears to be above my skills in English, lol. If anyone gets the two-letter word above 'on the farm' feel free to please give me a hint!

mos as for that two letter word above horse, think of male cow manure, two capital letters............

and try ox lol

Thank You. One easy way of saving your game until next time is to press the 'save game' button and then copy the address given in the box and paste it somewhere safe until you restart.

I opened one extra square, but I ran out of farm-related words to think of!

Depending on which square it is you have opened, there is a word in the center of each square that gives you the theme of that square.

Hope that helps :)

I'll try it again, but I might not be very good at this!

Well, I started it, and it'S driving me crazy. So far I have opened up two new screens, for a total of three.

Although I've had a couple of picky issues with some of their choices of words, I like it pretty good, but....

could you offer a few hints, oh wise one? 🙂

I am still playing it. (I did slept, of course)
so far I've opened 11 extra windows... but now I am getting frustrated.

could you offer a few hints

if you want, I'll give you my whole game, to look at some words, but be sure you save yours so you can continue playing on it

Wow!

Maybe I'll give it some more time. I just started maybe an hour ago. I may take you up on your offer some time, though! 😌

or just tell me what windows you'we opened, I'll give you some hints.

this game is really hard, especially for me. (so proud I've opened so much). so many words, so many things only americans can know (google is my friend, lol)

anyway, good luck. I will try to close this game for now.

As of now, I have "on the farm", "magicians", "religions", and the one to the left of religions opened.

magicians - what 2 david's have in common? also, what is david's biggest achievement? Hint: new york? ;)

I think google will soon become my friend as well.

I make a lousy American; I barely even know who David Blaine is, and I never would have gotten that on my own....

Dayum, this game is difficult!

I must admit, I peeked at a51ts4's page for hints. ^_^

Have just looked at how far people have got, you are all making progress....

Mind you I have only got three squares left to open, reckon you will be asking me for clues lol :)
