A question about quotation and "I think that..." sentences

Hello, this is my first time in the forum and I´d like some help with this particular topic:

I´m studying japanese on my own and I started with quotation and "I think that..." sentences, according to my book in order to do that I need to use a " clause ending with a predicate in the short form + と 思います"

What I would like to know is what to do when you are trying to quote or say that you think something that would have been written with a "te-form +いる" Does the short form include the "te+いる" or just the original verb short form?

Example: how would you say "I think Yasuo is married"

1)康夫さん は 結婚すると思います

or

2)康夫さんは結婚していると思います

The sentence 康夫さんは結婚している already ends with a verb in the short form (いる), so there's no need to change it when placing it in a quote. 2) is the correct option.
