I have heard this rumor countless times. I think it is true, that Miyavi is mixed. But that is my personal opinion. But his height is still confusing, cause while Koreans might be a little taller, or at least the ones I know are about average american height, You still have some short *** ones. But of course most of them are ABK's and anything made in America has the tendency to be bigger.

i don't really analyze why Miyavi got his height. I just find very funny to imagine him with HYDE! such an entertaining thought...

Yea that would be great if they would all just mix if it wasn't for the fact that Japanese/Korean relations aren't to good. And also for the fact that Koreans, even those that are born in Japan and are citizens are discriminated against, and many take Japanese names so they won't be discriminated against by the Japanese. So if you are Korean or mixed Korean most keep it secret. Miyavi if they discriminate cause your mixed call me and I will beat them up for you . Nobody will hurt my Miyavi.

Discrimination is definately high in Japan. My friend is half Chinese and Japanese and in her old high school she was once even given a pair of shoes. Before you think of this as a nice gesture, in Japan were it's polite to take off your shoes before entering the house, being given a pair of shoes is a pretty extreme form of saying "Take these shoes and get the hell out of here. Go back to where you belong".

Her parents had to take her and her sister out and have them study overseas. She follows her mum's surname too because her father's surname is too obviously Chinese.

My other friends who went to Japan last year said they dressed up very "Japanese-ly" with dyed hair and all, and wouldn't talk on the streets or on public transport so the people wouldn't know that they're Chinese. You don't get hit on the street for being a foreigner but you definately feel the coldness towards you. People will purposely cross the road to walk on the opposite pedestrian path to avoid you.

If Miyavi is indeed half Korean, I trully think that it's great that his manager/publician/crew and friends are people who won't blab about his heritage.

well, if he is in some way korean, then it is good that they are protecting our precious Miyavi from the evilness of discrimination. I actually believe that he is only a quarter Korean (one parent half japanese/half korean, other parent japanese)

I haven't heard any rumors about it, but I do think he might be mixed, and there would be nothing wrong with that. But it's not his height what calls my attention, the tallest man on earth used to be japanese... It's his face what calls my attention. Somewhere I read: "The mixture of races gives beautiful children...", and then we see Hamasaki Ayumi (in part italian), and of course Gackt (in part Taiwanese), actor Takeshi Kaneshiro (also half jap half tai). I voted Gackt, anyway, not quite for his looks but because of his voice. What I don't quite understand is why's Kyo there? (No intentions to offend anybody, just personal view). But well, that's some pure japanese!

gackt is definately living proof of that. and just out of curiosity, does anyone else agree with me that GACKT is in serious need of acting lessons. I mean he is good when it comes to being funny and holding a gun, but when he tries to act serious i just want to hug him and say "Its okay gakutu-sama, not everyone can be as good as HYDE"

i think its just more that hyde's character went more with him ... not so much that hes a vampire, but u know what i mean. i hope! lol, and its just impossible for people to think they can be as good as hyde! hes the best!!!!!!!!!!
i loved certain parts of that movie! like the VERY last scene, i was crying my eyes out! happy tears though! it was kinda like that the entire way through them movie! i laughed my a** off in one scene, then cryed till my eyes fell out the next!!

Actually just by watching Moon Child you've heard Wang Leehom. One of his songs is used in the film I believe (if not two depending on which version you own).
And yes, they are pretty!

It is so depressing, the first time i saw the movie i was sobbing at the end and my friend just made it worse by laughing, and it is very hard to laugh and cry at the same time
but then i calmed down and went to bed, but while laying there trying to sleep, i was thinking about the movie which made me cry some more

but now i just get a few tears in my eyes when i watch it...i am truly a complex person ^^

I was emotionally devestated the first time I saw it. I can watch it now without crying but I still get an ache in my chest that should go with crying. But if I go for a long time without watching it and then watch it I bawl my f**king eyeballs out.
