Ohayo gozaimasu!
I'm preparing to make a project in order to receive a diploma and I chose to write about Japan, but I have no clue on how to structure it.. It's supposed to be about 30 pages long, so I could really use some advice on what to include in it and things like that. Other than traditional customs, that is (that is a must to include! :D )What would a bunch of old school teachers find interesting?
Thanks in advance for any kind of help!:-)

The differences between Japan and the West... (a lot of information about that on the net).
The economy after the war, and the bubble years.
Bullying (ijime).
Male hosts.
Japan and the love for food.
Japan and the love for brands.

Just some ideas, good luck with the 30 pages.

30 pages for a diploma? High school, right?

There are so many potential topics; think about why you chose Japan in the first place, chances are the answer to your question is already there.

Thank you both, and yes it's for high school. I know there is a lot to write but I just want to skip the things that may bore teachers such as climate and history, but I'm not sure if I should.

Read the local newspapers here like www.japantimes.com and see what sparks an interest. You'd be surprised what us "old school teachers" find to be good material.

How about starting with why you chose to write about Japan?

I would definitely suggest writing about things that interest YOU, first and foremost. That will make for a more interesting paper overall, because you will want to write it, and that will show in your paper. Tell you what you sure could write 30 pages about the Japanese music scene, or the history of Anime, if you wanted to.

Hmmm...wakaranai. Anime to manga to J-rock do desu. Anata wa koto ga suki da. Sensei wa wasurenai.
