2. Is there a group of conjunction that has more or less the same meaning in Japanese which really doesn't mean anything, but act as a pause in speechflow..

I'd say that they're mostly interchangeable, but you might want to wait for a NSoJ to clarify that.

I'm guessing you mean the filler words like あのう、そのう、ええと, etc. I think they're called あいずち, but I'm having problems corroborating that assertion ATM.

That's because you've spelt it wrong, and it appears to have a rather different meaning anyway.

This is a tough question, because they certainly are interchangeable in many cases!

These are examples where they are not:
＊電話で長話をしました。そうしたら、母に怒られました。(I was talking on the phone for a long time. Then, I got a scolding [from my mother].)
＊そうすると、私が責任をとらなければいけないんですね？ (So, that means I must take responsibility?)

The key difference is that そうしたら usually describes the past or present and そうすると is used to describe the future or a probability.
Sorry, I'm not a grammarian--can't give you an authoritative answer.

Regarding 2, I don't really know what you mean, but if you are talking about あのう、ええと, etc., those are "fillers" similar to "umm" or "well" used in English, as Glenn-san explained.
BTW, 相槌（あいづち） are expressions like へえーor ほんとー you say in response to someone talking, to show that you're listening.

それはまったく文脈による(よって違います？)。一般的に言ってもしその文お前に「過去」や「現在」の時制が使われたら場合は「そうしたら」の方を使います。（過去や現在の活動に巻き込まれているのなら、"そうしたら"がより良いです？）。"そうすると"は、「将来」とか「見込み」とかについて話しているとき、
「そうすると」のほうが自然です。

そういう英訳のは、英語の直訳で日本語では、不自然に聞こえるのでしょう。 でも、日本語にも大きな間違いがあれば、遠慮せずに聞いてくださいね。 もう一度考えて違う言い方を考えてみます。

I'm going to get caned for this, but... it's one of those things you'll "know when you know". It's like being in love. The nuances are subtle enough to blow off until that time.

There's quite a few sounds that don't mean anything... grunting is quite common in Japanese.

I think I can agree with Liz about the 時制 think. Looking at そうしたら
and そうすると give you a quick distinction of their 時制.
However, I might have understood their meaning and differences. But I might ad mit that I am still awkward at using them in conversation. I will practise it more.
