Have you read the books? They are really really really good!!! i highly recommend them! I wasn't confused with the ending of 2001 the book because it is described so well. 🙂

I didn't care for the ending of 3001 final odyssey...seemed a bit too contrived for an alien technology.....

hmmm.....I didn't even recall sending a post on this topic....but then, you know me....what do I know? :D
 
It's interesting, but when it comes to the "film version." I find it very very boring. I fell asleep many times trying to watch it :D

Yes, remember how I said I couldn't believe no one posted to your thread, because it was such a cool site? I even bumped it up again for other people to see, but still no one really commented. Weird. I posted it at another forum not too long ago, and everyone loved it. Go figure! But I never forgot that you were the one who posted it! I even used the search engine here before posting this, but couldn't find your post. I think you titled it something a little different. Anyway, here it is again, so hopefully others can enjoy it! I just loved the explanations of the metaphors in the movie at this site!!

I'll have to check that out...

...and yeah, the ending to 3001 was lame--if that's not enough to take down my PC, then it's not enough to nail a monolith. :D
