Do you smoke? I always imagined people on tobacco farms forcing ciggies on their kids when they were like four years old.

Mom says, "Kirei honey, finnish your pack of ultra cool menthols or you're not getting any dinner."

:D

You know what's weird? Most of my family on my mom's side(the farm owners) do not smoke and hate cigarettes. Weird, huh? I smoked off and on from age 18 to 26. I haven't touched a cigarette in two years. ☝

Oh well, the tobacco farms are all but finished now, it seems. My family is retired from the business and everyone else is getting bought out. The cigarette business is pretty evil anyway.

Okay...I'll play, also.

(7) I (mostly) quit drinking beer in 2000...of the two vices, that one I miss them most.
(8) I wrecked a 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia roadster (very much like the white roadster seen in the movie Day of the Jackal except mine was red). It is the saddest material loss I ever incurred.
(9) I drove a Mini-Cooper-S before driving Mini's was cool.
(10) I make it a point to read four books each month: on the spike at this time are Flyboys, by James Bradley, LA Confidential & the Black Dahlia, both by James Elroy, A Distant Mirror by Barbara Tuchman, and SHOGUN , by James Clavell. The last two are re-reads. I often re-read a book that I enjoyed--usually years after the first reading.

I do not know what all that stuff means, but I spent nearly twenty minutes thinking up this feces. And I am not sure why. *shrug*

Hey, M-P, when you serve a few years with Marine Security Guard Battalion--those are the guys who guard embassies and consulates, and legations--you get around a lot! Inspection tours took me to every post in my area of responsibility. The rest of my visits came along with port calls and an R&R down-under during that unpleasantness in SEAsia.

A career of military service has its good points. Pay is not one of them, but if I had been in it for the money, I would not have been in it at all.
