St. Patrick's Day is coming (March 17) and to an American like me its more about celebrating anything Irish than anything else. I think you would be hard pressed to find an American who can tell you one thing about St. Patrick himself. ☘

So this thread is for anything St. Patrick's Day or Irish..... pictures, stories, humor and whatever. 🍀🇨🇮

A couple of interesting language points came to mind yesterday when I was thinking about this thread.

One is the use of 'messages' to refer to shopping.

Another is the use of 'ninety' as a determinate of the craic.

There are others, but those two have stuck in my mind over the years.

When I was a kid I saw Shamrock Shake ads on the TV. I never got to have one. :( And now it seems they are mint flavored whereas when I was a kid they were just vanilla. Change can really suck. I like mint, but I want the original too.
