Hello all!
Well, finally after months of having added [ jref.com ] to my bookmarks I officially registered and created a profile, and hopefully on my way to being able access a great resource of Japanese language and culture knowledge! My name is Alex, I'm 29, and a college student. I enjoy being physically active, playing video games, and I love learning Japanese to name a few hobbies! I've taken some courses in Japanese and I'm currently self studying by reading Japanese language textbooks, 'trying' to read Japanese literature, and arduously studying kanji.
Born and raised in the US I know learning Japanese can be quite the task, but I understand constant exposure is key, and so I've been studying on a daily bases. I've also recently considered maybe even taking the JLPT some time in the future 0_0; we'll see about that though...
I hope to engage in the forums and definitely look forward to possibly making new friends and even chatting with some pen-pals!
