Hi, I have short question about this - 「賜わりますようお願い申し上げます」from 「本年もスタッフ一丸となってよりよい作品造りに努めて参りますので、一層のご愛顧を賜わりますようお願い申し上げます。」. This seems to be a fairly common phrase ( http://eow.alc.co.jp/search?q=賜りますようお願い申し上げます). I'm interested about 賜わります. Apparently 賜る/賜わる can mean both もらう or 与える/くださる, i.e., 謙譲語 and 尊敬語 (http://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/leaf/jn2/138937/m0u/賜わる/) so I'm not sure which verb it replaces as a more polite version. Everything else in the sentence is 謙譲語 so it could very well be もらう, but I'm not sure if that よう(に) signifies anything? Not sure about its usage here either :/
I see, thanks for the help. Could I bother you a bit more to tell me which よう(に) is used? It sounds to me like "like", maybe for the phrase to sound a bit more indirect?
