Hello guys,
I was reading some textbooks when I found this sentence:
昔々、おじいさんが住んでいました。
I thought it was weird because the translation was:
"Once upon a time, there lived an old man."
But, according to my translation it would be:
"Once upon a time, there was living a old man."
So, I presume that the correct sentece for "Once upon a time, there lived an old man." is:
昔々、おじいさんが住んだ.
Please, am I right?
Thank you,
