前中心の読み方

Before Throughout/Center Feelings. Is this supposed to be like premonition or intuition or something?
 
No, I don't need the translation. I know what it means. I just need to know how to read it. I know that 中心 can occasionally be read as "なかご.

It is from this pair
前中心
後ろ中心

It means, 'Center Front" and it is talking very specifically about clothing, patterns & diagrams and such. It has absolutely nothing to do with feelings.
 
It is read, "まえちゅうしん".
 
なかご for 中心 is a very special pronunciation. I believe 中子 is more commonly used for なかご. When it is pronounced なかご, it refers to specific things such as the inner container, soft part of uri (= cucumber-like vegetable), inner mold for casting, etc.

中心 is pronounced ちゅうしん when it means the "centre".

So 前中心／後中心 should be pronounced まえちゅうしん うしろちゅうしん.

If I may ask, why is it mae and not zen?
 
前 as the opposite to 後ろ is rarely read ぜん.

前[まえ] <--> 後[うし]ろ
前[ぜん] <--> 後[ご]

You can consider it as two words "前[まえ] + 中心[ちゅうしん,]" something like 前の中心.
 
Ah. That's the one thing that got me, Go nochi Ko ushiro...is nochi ever used? In all the examples I've seen it's been ushiro.

One other thing: is the last character of this topic, gata? I know there was a kun for this character but I forgot..ho kata...-goto?
 
It is read "kata". Many times "hou" is used, but it is mainly for when it is used joined with other kanji.

Yes, but I can only recall hearing it and seeing it written in ひらがな. I'm pretty sure I've read 後 as のち before, but it was sort of 'cause I wanted to, and 'cause I felt it sort of fit the tone of the piece better than あと (のち is more formal). By the way, read it うしろ when it's written 後ろ, not 後.
 
Ah it was kata! I was thinking it was one of those rules where the beginning of the word changes or something...ah. Thanks maushan! (I have trouble reading in combination with other Kanji, see my other topic lol)

Also Glenn san, I think that the character is never written alone, it is always in combination with something or followed by ro to pinpoint it as ushiro? I also apparently need to spread around more rep before repping you again.
 
この後一緒に映画を見に行かない？ It's used on its own there and is read あと. 俺の後ろに立つんじゃねえ。There it's followed by ろ and is read うしろ. So yes, the ろ is what tips you off to read it as うしろ.

*Note: that second example is taken from DoA 3, I think it was. It was one of them, anyway.

One time that you'll hear it pronounced as のち is in the phrase 後程 (のちほど) "later on", or "afterwards" or in the weather report: 晴れ後雨 (はれのちあめ) "sunny then rainy".
