Hello.

I've seen those particles, especially のは and niwa and I don't know how to use them. At times I know its translation but at times I get very confused.

Could please help me out? Is there - in this forum - any thread explaining this?

Thank you very much!

のは has so many usages. Do you have any examples? As for には, it's the topicalized に. It might be for comparison, or maybe emphasis.

描かれているのは、何らかの災厄によって人間以外の者 が滅んでしまった事実らしい。

But I'm trying to translate and understand, please, only let me know the use of NOHA.

Thank you very much!

の is a pronoun in that case. It's close to "thing" in Englsh.

the thing that is described / what is described
