I have a question about this sentence -
I'm interested in the 「武器に殺し」 part. Is this に used here to mean "and"? Similarly like と, but it implies that those things come in a set, one thing is added to the first thing etc.
(From 大辞泉 - ［並助］並列・列挙・添加・取り合わせを表す。「バター―チーズ―牛乳」「月―むら雲、花―嵐」.)
Edit: Unrelated side question - 「お仕事では、ずいぶんと成果を上げておいでのようですね。」
Is おいで here used like a honorific いる?
「出る」「行く」「来る」「居る」などの尊敬語。「―になる」「―を願う」「いい子にして―」;
「…て（で）─」＋「になる」「なさる」「です」「だ」などの形で》「…ている」の尊敬語。…ていらっしゃる。「ここはじっと我慢して─なさい」「ご主人は酔って─です」
There's also the "command" usage, but that doesn't fit here.
「（…て）行きなさい」「（…て）来なさい」「（…て）居なさい」を親しんでいう語。「ちょっと寄って─」「散歩でもして─」◇「おいでなさい」の略。
