すぎる (in excess)/て form question

Hi guys. I know that 多すぎて、覚えられませんでした makes sense, but is 多すぎまして、覚えられませんでした also grammatically accurate?

Yes, both are correct, but I would use 多すぎましたので for the polite version since ので sounds more polite, so it's preferred in polite sentences.
