けど in phone conversation

Hi all,
I was wondering why when on a phone call People say, moshi moshi name desukedo.why desukedo ?

けど, けれども or が is used as a preface to the main cluase followoing it, (e.g., もしもし、〇〇と申しますけど、～さんいらっしゃいますか？) , as same as 失礼ですが、お名前を伺ってもよろしいでしょうか or 申し訳ありませんが、窓を開けていただけないでしょうか. They are not adversative conjunction in these cases.
