「翻訳家」と「翻訳者」

すみませんが、質問なのです。「翻訳家」と「翻訳者」 という言葉は意味がどう違いますか。すごく似ています ね。

I can't say I'm certain about this but

翻訳者 is someone who translates.
翻訳家 is someone who translates as a profession.

Kinda like 漫画家. Many people can draw 漫画 but not necessarily have the desire or ability to make it as a 漫画家. Many can translate but not go pro.

It's the same difference as author.

著者 (Writer of a particular work ;翻訳者 translator of a particular document).
作家、翻訳家 (The profession of those who do it for a living).

この前の返事、英語でごめんなさい。そうですね。「翻訳者、著者」は「者」の誰かにしてあげた言い方で Crafter of this work と、Name of the profession の違いに似ています。
