Distinctive rice flavour, with a taste of dried fruits and koji, strong alcoholic taste, and slightly spicy finish. Good characteristics, but being a bit on the subtle side it did not leave a lasting impression on us. Possibly better enjoyed with food.

Yamamoto Honke Shinsei Tokubetsu Junmai is made of domestic rice milled to 60% and has plenty of rice flavour. It can be enjoyed cold, at normal temperature, and as kanzake.
