Echigozakura Daiginjō is a formidable example of the Niigata tanrei (淡麗) style—clean, elegant, and delicately aromatic. Brewed with Yamadanishiki rice milled down to 38%, it opens with floral notes of jasmine and rose petals, layered with hints of soft tropical fruit. It has a smooth and lightly sweet mouthfeel, offering a refreshing balance between fragrance and flavour. The sweetness fades into a dry, crisp finish while a gentle rice aroma lingers. There is a faint trace of brewed alcohol in the aftertaste, but when paired with food, it integrates perfectly. Often found in convenience stores.
