Hi everyone, I'm new here. I love to collect japanese items. Now, would like to purchase a japanese Yosegaki Hinomaru flag. I found this flag that seems interesting to me, but I would like to have your opinion about it. What do you think?

I have no strong opinion about the authenticity of this one. Could be OK. Variety of signatures. Small variety of writing styles. Very discernible and authentic-sounding names on the flag. Negatives would be the somewhat unusual doubling of the phrase "good luck in battle" phrase. Usually you see it once across the top of the flag, or down the side. This flag has the phrase both on the top as well as the side, which looks a bit funky to me. The word at the top right is weird (to me). 忠節? Which means loyalty, and might be OK on a flag, but the character 節 is written incorrectly, which is unthinkable. I thought it might be a name (忠郎 - Tadao or Tadarō), but again the second kanji is wrong. A lot of very sloppy writing on the flag...
So - I can't give a strong endorsement one way or the other. Maybe @NANGI has a different perspective.

This is a typical Yosegaki flag. Many names are written on the Japanese flag. Another feature is that many messages are attached next to the name. Usually, there are only names, but it is not uncommon to see messages attached.

In this flag, the letter "節" and "郎" are written incorrectly. But these are common mistakes in old handwriting.

In addition to the name and message, there are two social titles. "Mayor of Kanae Village:鼎村長" and "Chairman of the Shimoina District Veterans Association:在郷軍人会下伊那郡聨合分会長".
