Musicisgood's Shikoku cycling journey

Hey guys I'm going to need a little help from you guys that bug bite that I took on it doesn't it's kind of strange yellow pus is coming out. I'm going to be in Kochi city tomorrow.
I'll be on route 55 can you guys find me a doctor that kind of like knows what they're doing with bug bites around route 55 yeah I'm going to have to take care of this cuz the ankle is getting swollen up I have no idea what the heck to get me.
I don't really know Japanese what type of doctor I need to see perhaps you guys know when can find me one that's pretty close off the route 55 in the city there.

Yeah my palm right now is all black and blue Denise seems to be well time will tell I've flushed it out with some water also I hit my elbow too and wash flush it out with water I just bought my second package of bandage today but I think I can cuddle it there's no pain and I'm pedaling the metal so it's not I don't feel too worried about it other than my palm I don't think I broke any bones.
 
Well I made it to 600 km so far. I got to admit this is one heck of a new type of journey from cycling on the sea of Japan side.
I just wish I had a motorbike it would have been so much better to to really visit all the same at other stuff at this island has to offer.
It's really hot so at around 2:00 to 4:00:00 in the afternoon I tried to find a convenience store to charge my batteries.

Sorry about the picture angle the bike is kind of like twisted differently but I made it 600 km so far so I got another 400 km it's a 1,000 km ride around Shikoku .

That sounds like it's gone septic. Get yourself to a doctor's as soon as you can. Any doctor - if they can't treat you (and they probably can), they'll know somewhere you can go. I've also found the people at places like Matsumoto Kiyoshi to be quite knowledgeable about small ailments. Do get it treated though. You're pushing your body a lot in the heat, and you need your energy for your cycling, not for fighting infections.

I think I'm about 40 km away from Kochi the city anyway so yeah I really need to check this out because the ankle is swollen up so anyway I tried to keep the clean hygiene but I guessl failed. really didn't work out too well.
 
The fasteners of a bicycle spill.
I remember my first bill I end up in the irrigation ditch with the cement flooring and luckily I was able to be conscious and made darn sure I didn't drown so I pulled myself out and it was at least three feet high and yes I was riding my bicycle and doing a stupid thing like holding an umbrella.

My second time I hit a bump and I flipped right over the handlebars like wow yeah that was terrible.
Oh by the way the first time I had some stitches I'm going to say 12 stitches but maybe a few less but yeah I was very lucky.

Now today was my third spill zap man I just fell right off the bicycle on the left side and hit my palm so hard it was like a karate punch going through a cement block it was like wow and then I hit my sore knee and I banged it really hard and then finally my elbow hit the pavement and I hit it like oh please don't break it don't break the bones so that was my third time for a spill on the bicycle and it's frightening I mean it's a split second you know it's like only it takes a split second to make a mistake.

I only had one spill in Japan but it was enough. I hit a pedestrian who jaywalked in front of me and flew over the handlebars. No helmet of course in those days. I bounced my head a bit and got up to ask the lady if she was all right, then sat down and then laid down and briefly passed out. Next thing I know an ambulance came. Fortunately I was more banged up than she so I didn't get any major penalties even though she needed medical treatment too for a loose tooth and maybe bruises. I got cited for not having lights on my bike.
 
I am now at Aki. General hospital. Treatment for insect bite and knee injury.
The doctor administered medication.
Will continue with treatment as needed. I will have to buy gauze and tape but I believe I'm at the counter right now and I'll get the proper medication for treatment.

This place is really busy but I got right in to the doctor's office within after filling out all the insurance stuff within 5 minutes is unreal that well that's all I can say but treatment is done I'm waiting to at the accounting station and then get the prescription and then I guess I'll start riding the bike again.

Well I done 600 km so far I got 400 more kilometers of gold looks like I'll be spending a couple evenings in the hotel room for to keep my the health the bandages clean and everything so I'm at the pharmacy now getting the appropriate medication. And it's very hot today.
I will be leaving soon for Kochi city.
 
Well I guess I'm pretty tired well anyway tonight I found a guest house and that was only a guest actually and then another cyclist just came in and I haven't talked to her actually which way she's cycling but she's so recycling herself so maybe later get a chance to talk to her I don't think she's American.

Kochi has travel 1000yen coupons. I don't know how to use them and it's too complicated for me so the owner worked out a deal where she would keep the coupons for herself I would transfer the coupons to her so basically it just came down to 1600 yen.

Looks like a nice place to recuperate! I had one bad spill on Shikoku, and got my first taste of road rash. Rest up, have you decided your path for the rest of the journey?

I took the 47 (had to go to shosanji anyways) and it was a very neat road on the peninsula, and I remember the even being a while and blue greek-inspired resort overlooking the ocean around where the temple's okunoin was located. Beautiful road and views the whole way

I think right now they have like a side road for cyclists along route 55 and occasionally I'll take that. it's actually paved well paved and it's pretty neat too and follows closely along the the coast, and it also has a couple tunnels that one can go through. when there's like some pretty heavy hills to to cycle up on . I've done it and it's in Kochi. and I'm basically staying on route 55 going south. I'm trying to post the signs of the locations that I'm cycling on give you an idea what road and what the area looks like . actually don't have a map so I have no idea what location I'm actually in.
But the guest house I posted the picture of their regulations it has the name on it so if you Google that and give you an idea of what where I'm at right now.
There is a peninsula I think I passed it up some cape Hane, I think I got that right I've been there I don't know if that's what your relating to for the location.
Well anyway I got a good night's sleep here the lady she made dinner last night I didn't take a picture of it but I'd have to give it five stars I mean it's just like it's professional artistically done everything will balance it was like too much food for me but and it was just I don't know I'm just I just pray everyday that for thanks.

As always thank you very much here's the type of medication I was given here's a couple pictures of it.
I'm somewhere in Kochi and I'll be heading South I should be able to get about 60 km in today I really like to find a free campground off of 55.
But I think a lot of the campgrounds are actually up on the mountain sides unless they're along the beach but I'll try to find it or if you have any suggestions again drop me a line I really appreciate it okay here's the pictures.

Here is a map of Cape Muroto. I'm not for sure which season is for whale watching but I didn't see any whales.
I truly wish I had a scooter.

There's so much to see if you had a scooter that you can go in and out of the areas and travel really faster up and down the hills and there's so much sightseeing to do but with a bicycle you really limited to as far as I go limit to as far as your distance and and the ability to handle up and down the hills and mountains I should say too takes time.
