Learning Japanese Journal.

Day 1. Well, it's not really day 1, but I can't tell what day it's been thus far. Maybe a month or so? Still trying to learn the alphabet. Almost done. Next will be the conjunctions between vowels and consonants. Like, chuu, or kyo. That shouldn't be too hard if I've done a good job with the consonants. There are only like three "y's".

Kanji, still looking kinda formidable and hard to read.

I read somewhere that you needed to learn roughly 2000 or so kanji in order to be able to read newspapers. That just means, I'm going to need 2000 index cards. It was tough enough holding the vowels to m's, with hiragana and katakana letters getting their own cards ... holding 2000 index cards will be hard. Maybe I can tape them to the wall?

Korean will definitely be easier than this. At least, there won't be nearly as much kanji learning, if any. Plus, I'm already familiar with the alphabets. Well, except for the vowels. They sound so similar.
