FAQ Be a Donor!

I'd like to donate, but I'd have to send you cash. Private message me and let me know how to send cash, please.

Thanks

Sorry, Thomas, but I don't see or find a PC from you. Where would I find it on the forum?

The notifications can be found in the header, top right next to your avatar. Clicking it should open your User Control Panel.

Sorry, but I don't see User Control Panel. What I see is a list of my profile page and then log out.
Can you show a page clip of what you are referring too. Thanks.

Sorry, I'm on my iPhone now. Here's a screenshot:

Can you see the red notification saying "11" right next to my little avatar? That's where you will find all your PCs.

Yes, I see it. But I don't even have a 1 next to it. Try again to send a PC to me. I think I have my settings correct. I received PC from another member in the past so I know I'm able to receive them. Thanks.

I was strongly considering doing this in a private manner, so I could hide, as I am apt to do in Net fields of work, BUT I am also getting a really interesting feeling about management around here. I keep getting this sense that somebody is doing something right. I noticed, for one thing, you seem to keep the cookie load from your site down a fair bit compared to other sites I visit from time-to-time. Most people don't really pay attention to that sort of thing, but I used to do it as a job and now have to do it for NPO-type operations.

Then there is this rather smooth operation of the forum software, even though I see a mess of tabs up at the top. That's pretty neat and because it is none of my business why that is so neat I am not going to be studying that factor. But it is neat.

And I'm noticing that language program has good folks contributing there. Many factors cause that to happen, but being comfortable on a site is the biggest reason.

And you'll be getting more traffic when them Greek Olympic folks start unloading off them slow oar-driven boats down in Yokosuka next year.

But I don't think a PayPal account allows us to send money to the U. S. --- I had some trouble just recently --- so I would need to have another way to offer a donation. I apologize that my union of carrier pigeons is on strike due to what they claim are bad dinners I serve their pilots.

Oh yes, one more thing --- I don't wish to have any signal, or badge, or whatever that is named, that shows I have done any of that donation stuff, if you management folks don't mind that.

So maybe one of you management folks wouldn't mind sending one of your not-on-strike pigeons to me with a message, I'd appreciate that.

And I wish to close this post with a statement that maybe it might not be such a bad idea if some other folks were to consider some sort of support for the site. These Net Villages/Towns are not easy to keep in good working order. I think one reason is that gravity doesn't seem to help anyone actually on the Net, Yes, I know the infrastructure of the Net is assisted a whole bunch by gravity, but those actually on the Net are not. . Wrap your thoughts around that weird idea.

Actually I see your point of not wanting people to know that you donate. But if we do, it may let others know that people are donating to keep this fine site up and running.
The site does have a scale rating, that shows how generous the donator is. It comes with the good and bad I guess. Since we all here really don't donate with our wallets, I think we mostly donate on emotions that we can let go with. (financially that is)
