Hello I am looking to get a email with softbank, au or docomo or any other company.
I live in United Kingdom and won't be moving anywhere any time soon so that is something that needs to be taken into consideration when you answer please. I want a mixi account not because of ''I love anime afdkjsbfd'' but because I want to meet people from Japan and try speaking only Japanese. I feel that being in a community with only Japanese users will help me as when I moved to UK with no knowledge of English when I was little... I learned by people around me, mostly my friends from primary school.
I would appreciate any instructions on how could I get one in UK, I understand there may be a phone purchase needed in this too. It would be great if I can just purchase a sim card or something that will give me the email address!

You don't need a Japanese email account to send emails to Japanese people, you know :)
I was talking about Mixi :p which needed a Japanese email from the phone but I found that they changed it and you can register by linking your google account which is great news.

Mixi used to be but the global players brought them down quickly.

But it should still be fine for your purposes. Also try following & interacting with various people on twitter for quick bite-sized Japanese interactions.
Oh wow I didn't know that thanks, ahh just not sure how I can find Japanese people on twitter >< can't exactly shout out ''I AM LOOKING FOR JAPANESE PEOPLE''

It's very easy. Just search for key words in Japanese. If you can't do it in Japanese, you can browse on key words in English until you find people/entities you want to follow. Of course you probably won't make relationships that way you like you do in a forum or other social network.

Thanks for the help I will try to do that and hopefully find some people that I can exchange short messages with :3

Hey again so I tried to confirm my phone number on mixi and couldn't it's needed to post comments... I then bought a Japanese phone number, put it in and it still says I input it incorrectly... I put in the number starter with + tried it with that didn't work, tried to seperate the number into pieces didn't work, tried to delete the starter didn't work... anyone can help? this was using both a Japanese phone number from Tokyo and one from UK London.

How did you input the digits? Swap out letters for numbers if you like. Just need to see how you formatted it.

For eg.
+44 xxxx xxxxxx
Then I tried
+44xxxxxxxxxx
Then lastly without the +44 and this didn't work for both Japanese and English phone number.
Obviously I didn't use +44 for the Japanese number I am giving a example with the British country code. The website also tells me an error like this
電話番号は11桁で入力してください。

数字のみで入力してください。

070, 080, 090 のいずれかで始まる番号を入力してください。

Are you talking about your cellphone number? A Japanese cellphone number is needed to register Mixi.

EDIT:
You can see the reason here.

I already have an account due to Google and linking it that way. I am using a Japanese and English cellphone number to make it work but both aren't working.

You need an 11 digit number entered as though dialing domestically in Japan, no country code. The number has to start with 070 or 080 or 090 (cell phone prefixes in Japan).. If the number you purchased starts with 03, that's a Tokyo landline. No good.

Mixi used to give off a very "Japanese Only" xenophobic vibe. Can't imagine it is much better now.

I see well that sucks, I see no point in them letting me register but letting me only comment on my own profile lol.
