Couple of Queries about some particle review questions

Hi All,
I am doing some drills and have a couple of questions in regards to some questions and answers.

Example Question 1. fill in the missing particle.
これは私が米( ) 作ったﾊﾟﾝです。
A.に
B.の
C.や
D.で
The answer is A.に. I take it is. I made this bread with rice.
Can で also be used as in "by rice as a method"?

Example Question 2. fill in the missing particles. (Tｗo part conversation)
学生｢先生、この言葉は（ ）意味ですか｝
先生「「やさしい」という意味です。」
A。どうやって
B。どのぐらい
C。どういう
４。どう

I answered C。どういう and it was wrong. The correct answer was A。どうやって and I'm not sure why. I thought that どうやって was used for a method of doing something i.e
どうやって作ったのですか how did you make it?

You are right I was looking at the wrong key. I feel like a moron. The sheets were very similar there were 5 questions and the other 3 answers matched the same positions correctly (by chance) on the other example. One good thing that came from it is that I recognised something didn't look right. (so natuarally a blame the example questions of course Ha,Ha)
