actually I am not sure if you should put Serbia and Montenegro together on the list as our two countries have been separated since 2006. For some time there was no Japanese embassy in Montenegro so Serbian embassy was in charge for Montenegrin candidates, too. But I think they have their own embassy in Montenegro now and separated procedure for Mext scholarship. Someone from Montenegro correct me if I am wrong.
So I think correct thing to do would be to only put Serbia so far in the list. Or only Aleksandar as we don't know for other candidates (like me for example
) we should also change this flags and names of the countries as we definitely lost all hopes to have Serbia and Montenegro in one country ever again
so unfortunately there is no Serbia & Montenegro (former Yugoslavia) any more. Does anyone from administrators maybe know how can we correct this? thanks in advanceykk, thanks for support, but still nothing from embassy. I hold my thumbs for you, too.

Random question: has any of you applied to make a research in the humanitarian fields like me? I have the feeling that almost everyone applying for this scholarship is specializing in science/engineering/medicine. I wonder if MEXT considers humanitarian programs as not trustworthy.

I think you are right about that bratko!
According to my teacher of Japanese Hiromi-san (she taught at least 10 students who ended up in Japan) only one person from humanitarian fields can get scholarship in Serbia every year for, lets say, last 5 years, and from other fields 3-4 depending on the year. The thing is that for that one place competition is abnormally hard, because people who apply have all usually studied Japanese language on a linguistic faculty and they get more then 85 points on a japanese test. I know a girl who had 89 points (she lived in Japan for two years) and didn't get the passing certificate, and I had 54 points (my field: architecture), and I got it.
c'est la vie, I guess.
I don't think that Mext considers humanitarian programs as not trustworthy. It is just that, as we all know, Japan is land of advanced technology, so I just guess they consider science fields more worthy for their economy. But it is just to bad for people whose japanese is so good but still they cant get this scholarship.

I was rejected after second screening and I was a regular candidateHi sat hard luck, are you rejected in the second screening or directly from the primary screening? are you a regular candidate or alternate??????????????????

I received an email from Embassy.I don't know what was wrong but the lady in the Embassy said that the same case came last year.Are you also a candidate from Burkina
If you are an alternate from Burkina perhaps you will be selected because I was a regular candidate and I was rejected
