MEXT Scholarship for Postgraduate 2011: General Discussions.

I also tried to apply to some national universities, but couldn't find a professor... But Keio professor seemed to be quite enthusiastic to conduct my research (my field is international marketing).
The difference of tuition fees in private and public universities can influence MEXT final decision??

thanks, ykk. will be waiting together)) what's your field (sorry, if i missed it in previous posts..)?

The truth is that nobody knows.
Most people thinks that it's better to choose national Universities because it costs MEXT less money, but the truth is that you are just supposed to choose the University in which you can conduct your research and best suits your academic expectations.

My Keio professor is also great, I am SO looking foward to study with him.

Edit: My major is graphic design

Hi everybody! I'm new on this forum. 窶堙ヲ窶堙ォ窶堋オ窶堋ュ窶堋ィナ?ティ窶堋「窶堋オ窶堙懌?堋キツ!
I'm also waiting for MEXT approval, but still haven't received any news from my consulate... I just wanted to know if anyone here applied for Keio University and already got some news from it?
I completely agree with you ykk
I agree with you Ahmed

I agree with you, too
No national university, that I'd contacted, agreed to send me a LOA, it means my field didn't fit them...

Do you think your university grades on the subjects (the academic transcripts) can also influence the final decision? Or it's been already screened by our consulates and MEXT will not consider it? :?

Hey, guys, I'm happy to talk with you here!
Some of us have already had information from university but others haven't... the game of waiting is still on in a few weeks...
By the way, my major is Economics and if anybody who get LOA from KOBE University and Ritsumeikan University have any information, please share! I'm so worried these days,...☝

Before applying to the scholarship, one of the people that had just finished his 6 years scholarship (research, Master, and Doctorate) told me that the most important thing int this application is:

Your research capabilities

That's why I concentrated on this subject in the interview and my application documents. I've attached with my application a copy of a simple research that I've made, in addition to a letter from a research team in Japan confirming that I'm working with them on mutual research...

Hi everybody, my name is Akmal, and i want to apply to MEXT scholarship next year. I have read first 10 pages of this thread, and understood that research proposal is one of the most important things, but i'm confusing about writing it. I have no idea about how to starting it:??
So i came here to get some advice!
p.s. my major is programming. hope somebody will help;).

Unfortunately, I was rejected. No information from Tohoku Univesity, but from Embassy.
It was nice to meet you. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that, Asanoki :((

I have no words, I am speechless.
I am so sorry for the news :(
I can't believe this is happening.

It's hard to believe and I can not understand based on what, Asanoki's embassy has already determined that.
It scares me, maybe our embassies are hiding something, after all, why only the Polish embassy was already being notified of something? 😭

Asanoki,
If I can go to Japan, and you want to try again next year, count on me to help you out there, with the Loas and everything that is possible. Take it like a short postponement of plans and not like something totally bad.👍

Good luck to us all! 🙂

I don't know. I am just off : (

Sorry for hearing these bad news, I wish you will overcome that
I think I will be following you.
I am expecting rejection soon. What can we do? nothing. We already did our best. I will concentrate on the future and forget the past.

This is the opportunity of our life, please waste time thinking that everything is wrong!
Don't lose your hope, we still can make it please be a little more patient!

That is a really bad news :( I think that everyone of us feel as if it happens to us. As Ameid4 said.. I believe this situation help us by one way or another way. I mean make a stronger new research plan or perhaps focus on other problems. Consider it as an opportunity to improve.

Well, it's scaring, but as MEXT is only cutting a small percentage of their budge, most ppls passing the 1st selection would surely get it. Cheer up guys!

But we never wait that the cut could get one of us... :(
Unfortunatelly, it can happens.

I agree with you Almeid, but we have no authority, we are the audience:unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure::unsure: and we have to watch and waiting the decision that may change your life😭😭😭😭😭

I read a book about how to prepare for Monbusho research scholarship, and it stressed that point too; but I really can't understand how they expect someone who just got his bachelor to have significant research skills.
I don't know how it works in your country, but here in Italy you just study and take your exams. That's it (except maybe for the thesis, didn't get there yet).

In my country, especially in the field of biology, you have to conduct a research for your thesis.... I did a 1 year research to do my thesis :p :p
